Marvel’s next Disney+ series is nearly here, and it seems as if the wait from Hawkeye, which concluded last December, to Moon Knight, scheduled for release on March 30, is going to be worth it.
Marketing for Moon Knight has ramped up in recent days with the arrival of new posters and star Oscar Isaac making the rounds to promote his first outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is said to be a dark and mind-bending series. Today, a new clip from the show was released, showing Oscar Isaac’s character looking for his contact lens. Check it out here:
Isaac plays Steven Grant, a gift shop employee working in London who struggles with lost time and has flashes of another life he lived. Isaac’s character has dissociative identity disorder, and his other personality is Marc Spector, a known ruthless mercenary and crime fighter. The series is said to be a mystery that also involves the ancient gods of Egypt.
Isaac is best known for his role as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, but is also no stranger to the superhero genre having played the villain in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse. A prestigious and well renowned performer, Isaac won a Golden Globe award in 2016 for his starring role in HBO’s Show Me a Hero.
Ethan Hawke costars alongside Isaac in Moon Knight, as does May Calamawy. Jeremy Slater serves as the head writer of the six episode season, and Marvel regulars Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Victoria Alonso are attached as executive producers alongside Oscar Isaac, Mohamed Diab, Brad Winderbaum, and Slater. Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed all six outings.
Moon Knight premieres March 30, exclusively on Disney+.
