Cal Kestis’ Lightsaber Will Be Available At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge On March 25

Cal Kestis’ lightsaber hilt will be available at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge beginning this Friday, March 25, Disney Parks have announced.

Kestis’ weapon hilt arrives after a public vote was held in 2020, in which fans were asked to choose the next legacy lightsaber they wanted to see at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. The weapon was first seen in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the critically acclaimed video game that arrived in winter 2019, which has a sequel that is currently in development. Cal’s lightsaber was a big part of the game, particularly as fans had the opportunity to customize the color and alter the hilt to their liking.

In the game, the saber was originally owned by Kestis’ master, Jaro Tapal, who died during Order 66. The weapon was damaged in the last moments of the Republic, meaning Cal used it with only one blade until he repaired it later on in the game. Players had the option to make it a double-sided lightsaber or keep it as is. Now, visitors of Galaxy’s Edge have the same choice, as the lightsaber comes with a dual saber adapter when you buy another hilt.

Cameron Monaghan played Cal Kestis in Jedi Fallen Order and recently had the opportunity to visit Batuu, where he crafted his own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop:

Monaghan is not the only Star Wars actor to visit Galaxy’s Edge, as Anakin Skywalker himself, Hayden Christensen, made the trip in 2019.
