The long awaited Star Wars Celebration Anaheim is now just two months away, and excitement for the event is ramping up after today’s first slew of guest reveals.
Today, Star Wars legends Anthony Daniels, Ashley Eckstein, and Ian McDiarmid were confirmed to appear the fan convention. Daniels has been involved in every Star Wars feature film, the only actor to hold the milestone. The distinguished English actor played a prominent role in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, which concluded the epic nine film saga.
Ian McDiarmid appeared alongside Daniels in the conclusion of the sequel trilogy, where his villainous character Emperor Palpatine was revealed to be alive and plotting his revenge after he appeared to have died in Return of the Jedi. McDiarmid has appeared in six Star Wars films, from the prequels to the sequels.
Ashley Eckstein also joins these two at Celebration, the voice actress of the fan favorite Ahsoka Tano. Eckstein is a mainstay of Star Wars conventions in recent years as she continues to inspire a new generation of fans of a galaxy far, far away. Eckstein also has her own clothing line, HerUniverse, which produces geek-themed apparel for all. The actress also wrote a Star Wars children’s book.
Official Pix will be overseeing the autograph guests at the show, and more details on reservations and further guest announcements are said to be on the way soon.
Star Wars creatives have also been announced to attend, with Doug Chiang, Steve Sansweet, Dan Zehr, and Amy Ratcliffe all set to appear. Chiang is Lucasfilm’s VP and executive creative director, and is a Star Wars legend, having worked on virtually every project since the prequels.
Star Wars Celebration will be held May 26-29, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
