The next film in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which promises to connect the Disney-owned franchise with Fox heroes like Professor X, played by none other than Patrick Stewart, who was seen (and heard) briefly in the second trailer. Fans have been theorizing for months as to who else could appear in the film, especially as the multiverse opened up even further in last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home with the inclusion of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, along with their array of villains.
As such, anticipation is high for the project as it looks set to be a huge event with massive implications for the future of the franchise. Originally, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was set to release much earlier than its current May 2022 opening, but COVID-19 delayed much of Marvel Studios’ schedule, and many titles have been moved around at least a few times since the beginning of the pandemic. The next Doctor Strange outing is no different, and March 25, 2022, was one of its official release dates before being pushed back a few months.
This would-be anniversary was addressed by Marvel fans on social media today, with many making light of the film’s delay:

For now, Marvel fans can look forward to something coming out a little sooner, with Moon Knight releasing next Wednesday, March 30.
Check out The HoloFiles and Marvel Tesseract’s initial reaction of the first four episodes:
MOON KNIGHT shows a mystical side of MCU we’ve yet to see. Oscar Isaac is brilliant & quirky. Ethan Hawke is menacing. First episodes are purposefully disorienting, which adds to fun/frantic pace, but introduce concepts that take getting used to. Costume design is ???? #MoonKnight pic.twitter.com/QJLn10Z8xz
