Ahsoka is gearing up for production soon, with the series centered on the character created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni in 2008 finally getting the spotlight in live action.
Now, Peter Ramsey has been revealed to direct at least one episode of the series. Ramsey is perhaps best known for his co-directing credit on Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, the critically acclaimed animated superhero epic that won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 2019 ceremony. Ramsey also directed Rise of the Guardians and three episodes of Netflix’s We the People and worked as a storyboard artist on several titles.

Ramsey’s career is not unlike that of Dave Filoni, who began in animation with Avatar: The Last Airbender before moving to a galaxy far, far away with The Clone Wars and Rebels. It wasn’t until 2019’s The Mandalorian that Filoni had shifted to live action, where he remains currently, and is set to be the head writer on Ahsoka.
Ahsoka will see the return of Rosario Dawson as the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. Dawson has played Ahsoka in live action since The Mandalorian season 2, and also appeared in The Book of Boba Fett. The actress even had the opportunity to appear alongside Luke Skywalker himself in the series.
