At long last, Obi-Wan Kenobi is right around the corner. The series is set to debut next month with two episodes on Friday, May 27, and lands during Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim.
Marketing has ramped up for Obi-Wan Kenobi as of late, with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen doing the rounds to promote the upcoming Disney+ show.
The pair spoke with Entertainment Weekly on their prep for the show, with Ewan McGregor revealing some of his process for immersing himself back in the Star Wars galaxy.
“I watched [the Skywalker Saga] from start to finish. All nine movies. Just to get back in that world. It was interesting to watch our films because I hadn’t seen them since they came out, not at all.”

Hayden Christensen also prepared in a similar fashion, but opted to focus on some of the Star Wars animated series, which could be a hint as to some of the fan favorite seasons in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
“I also got into the animated shows, The Clone Wars and Rebels. They did a lot with these characters in those shows. And they did further explore the relationship.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres May 27 exclusively on Disney+.
