Unfortunately, the bad news continues to pile up surrounding DC’s most important film in their cinematic universe so far, The Flash, as star Ezra Miller has been arrested several times in the past few months alone and is said to be on the run from police. Allegations surrounding grooming, mental and physical abuse, and more follow the actor around, making The Flash an increasingly difficult film to market.
The Flash is of the upmost importance to DC and Warner Bros. because it is the movie that will reboot the universe, replacing Ben Affleck’s Batman and is supposed to push the franchise forward with a new(ish) world. However, it seems that this new DC will not have Ezra Miller apart of it, and rightfully so. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. have no intention of working with the actor again following these allegations, which casts doubt over DC as well as the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
It looks likely that a new actor will be brought in to play the Flash, with some even urging the studio to cast someone immediately and begin reshoots to remove Miller from the 2023 film. It’s unclear if Miller will be replaced in The Flash entirely, but it’s certain that they won’t be returning beyond this. Here are some actors that could play the Flash as DC heads into its new era.
Jordan Fisher

Elliot Page

Grant Gustin

Joseph Quinn

Ncuti Gatwa
