What To Watch Before She-Hulk

By Josh Bate

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is now streaming on Disney+, with the first episode releasing exclusively on the service. Not only is this a monumental series when it comes to a Hulk getting their own project for the first time since 2008, but She-Hulk also represents a major moment in the MCU with another woman in a starring role, along with plenty of other diversity to boot.

Tatiana Maslany, known to sci-fi fans as the star of Orphan Black, makes her MCU debut as the title character, alongside returning actor Mark Ruffalo. Ruffalo has been a Marvel mainstay ever since his first appearance in 2012’s The Avengers.

She-Hulk also marks another genre blend for the MCU, this time taking the shape of a 30 minute comedy/law series. Here’s everything to watch before She-Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk

Premise: Depicting the events after the Gamma Bomb. ‘The Incredible Hulk’ tells the story of Dr Bruce Banner, who seeks a cure to his unique condition, which causes him to turn into a giant green monster under emotional stress. Whilst on the run from military which seeks his capture, Banner comes close to a cure. But all is lost when a new creature emerges: The Abomination.

Thor: Ragnarok

Premise: Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that puts him against The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Orphan Black

Premise: A streetwise hustler is pulled into a compelling conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her.

The Avengers

Premise: Loki, the adopted brother of Thor, teams-up with the Chitauri Army and uses the Tesseract’s power to travel from Asgard to Midgard to plot the invasion of Earth and become a king. The director of the agency S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury, sets in motion project Avengers, joining Tony Stark a.k.a. the Iron Man; Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America; Bruce Banner, a.k.a. The Hulk; Thor; Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow; and Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, to save the world from the powerful Loki and the alien invasion.

Avengers: Endgame

Premise: After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’s actions and undo the chaos to the universe, no matter what consequences may be in store, and no matter who they face…
