Diego Luna Confirms K-2SO Will Appear In Andor Before Series’ End

By Josh Bate

The latest Star Wars Disney+ series Andor is quickly approaching as the Diego Luna led show is set to debut on September 21 with the first three episodes.

Andor follows Luna’s hero from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in his earlier years in the Rebellion. The series is described by showrunner Tony Gilroy as a spy thriller set in a galaxy far, far away. Gilroy gave some more details earlier this summer at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, stating that the series will span two seasons in total and the latter will go right up to the events of Rogue One, just as that movie did for A New Hope.

As part of the press tour for Andor, Diego Luna addressed to Total Film the timeline of Andor and, more particularly, whether or not his beloved and fan favorite droid sidekick K-2SO would appear in the series.

“Our next season ends where Rogue One starts, so I think that answers everything!”

Cassian and K2’s first meeting was depicted in a comic book after the release of Rogue One, and it seems Andor will also cover this moment.

Andor premieres September 21 on Disney+.
