After much anticipation, Mando and Grogu return this month with the premiere of The Mandalorian’s third season. The Mandalorian and his little companion aren’t alone this month when it comes to Star Wars stories, however, as they’re accompanied by some rogue Clones, ominous Sith Lords, Jedi on the run, and more. Below includes a list and description of upcoming Star Wars projects in the month of March. It is important to note all of these release dates are subject to change.
March 1 – The Bad Batch – Season 2, “Metamorphosis”
The Bad Batch’s second season takes a turn with its latest episode “Metamorphosis,” which ties into the Season 1 finale.
March 1 – The Mandalorian – Season 3, Chapter 17
The hit Disney+ series returns this month!
March 1 – Han Solo & Chewbacca 10
Marc Guggenheim’s latest Han and Chewie comic supposedly ties into the new big Star Wars crossover event in comics. The publisher’s summary for the 10th issue is as follows: “HE KEYS TO THE NEXT STAR WARS EVENT BEGIN HERE! Khel Tanna is after Han Solo and Chewbacca! Marshal Buck Vancto is after Han Solo and Chewbacca! Corbus is after Han Sol [sic] – well, you get the idea… What does the urn hold that unlocks the future of the Star Wars galaxy? This can’t-miss issue leads into the STAR WARS event of 2023!”
March 1 – Hidden Empire 4
The penultimate issue of the Qi’ra trilogy debuts this month. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “THE ENDGAME GAMBIT APPROACHES! The final moves of Lady Qi’ra’s great game have begun. The Sith have been summoned, and the Fermata Cage will open… For Qi’ra, it’s all or nothing.”
March 1 – Hyperspace Stories 4
Rey and Chewie star in this new comic from Amanda Deibert and Dark Horse Comics. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “On Kashyyyk, it’s a time of celebration, but is anywhere safe from the Dark Side? In need of a break from her duties to the Resistance, Rey accepts Chewbacca’s invitation to journey to his home planet for the annual Life Day celebration. But unknown to either of them, this party has a crasher; a vicious bounty hunter dispatched by the First Order!”
March 1 – Star Wars (2020) 32
Charles Soule’s mainline series intersects with the Qi’ra saga in this latest issue. The publisher’s summary for the 32nd issue is as follows: “THE FORCE IS BROKEN? The efforts of Lady Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn to destroy the Sith have sent deep ripples running through the Force, disrupting Luke Skywalker’s connection to the deep powers of the galaxy. How far will he go to find what he has lost?”
March 1 – The High Republic — The Blade 3
A whopping three new Charles Soule comics drop when March kicks off. The publisher’s summary for the latest adventure with Porter Engle is as follows: “The situation on the planet Gansevor has worsened, and Jedi Masters PORTER ENGLE and BARASH SILVAIN find themselves embroiled in a conflict with no clear solution. Certainty must be found and a side chosen…but new enemies have arrived, and time is running out.”
March 1 – The Mandalorian 8
Rodney Barnes adapts the finale of Season 1 in this new comic.
March 7 – Hunters: Battle for the Arena
Ahead of the new videogame Star Wars: Hunters, check out this new middle-grade novel by Mark Oshiro. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “An exciting book based on the game Star Wars: Hunters! On the planet Vespaara lies the Arena—a series of battlefields where fighters known as Hunters face off in teams to compete in front of roaring crowds. Newest to their ranks is Rieve, a Force-sensitive orphan from Corellia with abilities she can barely control, and a past she desperately wants to leave behind. But Rieve gets off to a rocky start, struggling with her lack of confidence both inside the Arena and with her fellow Hunters. March 7 – Jedi: Battle Scars
Sam Maggs pens this new novel set in between Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “Cal Kestis has built a new life for himself with the crew of the Stinger Mantis. Together, Cal’s crew has brought down bounty hunters, defeated Inquisitors, and even evaded Darth Vader himself. More importantly, Merrin, Cere, Greez, and faithful droid BD-1 are the closest thing Cal has had to a family since the fall of the Jedi Order. March 7 – Return of the Jedi: The Battle of Endor

March 7 – Star Wars: Bounty Hunters Ultimate Sticker Collection
DK will release a 72-page children’s sticker book all about the bounty hunters of the Star Wars galaxy this month.
March 8 – Bounty Hunters 32
Ethan Sacks’ Bounty Hunters is simply a must-read Star Wars comic. The publisher’s summary for the 32nd issue is as follows: “Zuckuss is teetering between life and death…A mysterious event has put the Gand bounty hunter in a deep coma reliving his past. Can T’onga and 4-LOM save Zuckuss before his mind is lost? And before the Empire’s most lethal unit hunting Valance catches up to them…”
March 8 – Sana Starros 2
The sophomore solo outing of Sana Starros hits comic stores this month. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “LOSE ENCOUNTERS! The Starros clan are on a collision course of a lifetime! What mysteries from Sana’s past are coming home to roost? And whose party are they about to crash?”
March 8 – The High Republic (2022) 6
Turn the clock back to the High Republic era with the latest issue of the Marvel comic series from Cavan Scott. The publisher’s summary for the sixth issue is as follows: “THE BATTLE OF JEDHA CONTINUES! As Tey Sirrek defends the Temple of the Kyber, Vildar Mac is buried alive, with only his belief in the Force to keep him alive. But Vildar is a Jedi beset by doubts, a man scarred by a past he should’ve forgotten years ago. Who can come to his aid as the Holy City tears itself apart? More of Grogu and Mando arrive this month on Disney+.
March 14 – Star Wars Legends: The Rebellion Omnibus Vol. 1
This new Legends collection compiles Star Wars: Empire 7, 14, and 16-27, Star Wars: Vader’s Quest 1-4, Star Wars (2013) 1-20, Star Wars Kids (1997) 1-11, 12 (A STORY), and 13-20, and Star Wars 3-D 1-3.
March 14 – Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Old Republic Vol. 5
Another Legends collection sees the re-release of : Star Wars: Knight Errant (2010) #1 – 5, Star Wars: Knight Errant: Deluge (2011) #1 – 5, Star Wars: Knight Errant: Escape (2012) #1 – 5, Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith (2001) #1 – 6, and material from Star Wars Tales (1999) #16.

Daniel Jose Older’s Dark Horse comic series set during the High Republic unfolds this month. Porter Engle’s backstory is explored in the fourth issue of Charles Soule’s comic series. The publisher’s summary for the fourth issue is as follows: “To save the innocent, to save his sister, to save himself…Jedi Master Porter Engle must embark on one of the most epic instances of lightsaber combat ever recorded in the Chronicles.
