Our favorite Star Wars video games return next month! Today, Lucasfilm Games and collaborators announced Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection, a re-release of the classic video games Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005). The collection will release March 14 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection will feature online play supporting up to 64 players, all previously released bonus content, expansions to Hero Assault mode, and brand new heroes to play as.
For Star Wars Battlefront (2004), the collection will feature the campaign, which allows players to experience iconic battles from the original trilogy. It will also feature the beloved Galactic Conquest mode, and include the bonus map Jabba’s Palace.
For Star Wars Battlefront II (2005), the collection also features the campaign, which allows players to take part in some great prequel trilogy content. Bonus maps include Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Var: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena. Bonus heroes include Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto.
The Hero Assault mode is also expanded in Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection. It is now playable on all ground maps, including Death Star, Kashyyyk, Kamino, and Naboo.
