The Acolyte recently had its red carpet premiere and many are sharing their thoughts on the latest Star Wars series. As we had the opportunity to watch the first four episodes of the show, our reactions on social media can be seen below….
THE ACOLYTE Eps 1-4 are superb. A captivating murder mystery that evokes the detective tales of Twin Peaks & Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Mature like Andor while fully embracing & thematically connecting to the prequels. Seeing the High Republic in live-action does not disappoint. pic.twitter.com/N7csXdW2mG

Can’t stop thinking about the first 4 episodes of THE ACOLYTE. So beautifully honors the prequels, High Republic and previous Star Wars, while taking the franchise in a bold new direction. Twists and turns, shrouded in darkness, mature tone. Fans will love this show #TheAcolyte pic.twitter.com/3QbWI6dAVU

New characters, completely new vibes, new droids, new Jedi, NEW ERA.
I’m digging the balance of kick-ass choreography & humour, the murder-mystery feel is very welcome in the Star Wars universe! pic.twitter.com/LZeVpNVS7G
I’ve seen four episodes of #TheAcolyte and, thus far, it’s a *very* big winner. The cast of characters, the heavy emphasis on practical effects, the stunts, how they’re exploring what it means to be a Force-user and how the Jedi Order operates — it’s all working quite well for… pic.twitter.com/l8SVNTvSEG

#TheAcolyte is the force-sensitive version of Andor. The cast is stellar, the writing of each episode is jam packed. Practical sets and amazing costumes, as well as sfx work make every location feel lived in, while having an emotional throughline to keep it focused. pic.twitter.com/xYuaQiEJxc

It’s a character driven story full of incredible performances. Amandla Stenberg is both fierce & relatable. Lee Jung-jae plays Master Sol w/ so much warmth & heart.
Manny Jacinto is a scene stealer!@starwars @OfficialAcolyte ???? pic.twitter.com/akyd4cs6ca
The first 4 eps of #TheAcolyte are pretty rad! I love how new & fresh & separate from the Skywalker Saga it is. The #StarWars vibes are strong, of course, and shaping it to feel like a detective story is smart & unique.

#TheAcolyte is a blend of murder mystery with Star Wars charm. 4 episodes in, and it’s clear that this new timeline will add to the lore of the galaxy in BIG ways. The Kung Fu force fighting is MAGICAL! JJ as Sol is the COOLEST Jedi since QUI GON! Can’t wait to see where it goes pic.twitter.com/STbdMUBbFS

Star Wars: #TheAcolyte is filled with mystery and darkness that delves deep into new and diverse depths of the galaxy. I’ve seen 4 eps and dig the sinister story it’s steadily setting up. BIG potential in this era. Carrie-Anne Moss with a lightsaber doing Force-Fu is PERFECTION. pic.twitter.com/KRX44P9rcr
