Deadpool & Wolverine is easily the most anticipated movie of 2024, in large part due to the array of rumored cameo appearances and supporting characters. In this article, we’re breaking down every cameo and surprise appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine. Spoilers ahead….

Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Jon Favreau reprises his role as Happy Hogan in an early scene of the film. The scene shows Happy ‘interview’ Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) for the Avengers. Favreau and Reynolds have a great back-and-forth, especially as Reynolds’ character pokes fun at Happy’s history as Tony Stark’s chauffeur.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

After arriving to the TVA, Deadpool looks at a monitor that seemingly depicts his death in the future. The monitor displays an injured Deadpool being cradled by a teary-eyed Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth.

Hugh Jackman as Patch

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Deadpool goes across the multiverse to recruit a variant of Wolverine that he can bring back to his world to serve as an anchor person. One of these variants Deadpool tries to recruit is Patch. The eyepatch and white suit wearing variant of Wolverine was a disguise the mutant adopted in the 1980s run of X-Men comics when Wolverine wanted to keep a low profile in Madripoor.

Hugh Jackman as Old Man Logan

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Another variant of Wolverine that Deadpool tries to recruit is Old Man Logan. James Mangold leaned heavily into Mark Millar’s version of Wolverine in his acclaimed 2017 movie, but Deadpool & Wolverine gives a more comic-accurate look at Old Man Logan.

Hugh Jackman as 1990s Wolverine

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Another Wolverine variant that Deadpool tries to recruit is a glam rock-like version of the character, with long hair and a black costume similar to the one worn in the 1990s X-Men comic series.

Hugh Jackman as crucified Wolverine

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Another variant of Wolverine that Deadpool tries to recruit is a Wolverine, who is being crucified on a massive X. The visual in the film is taken straight from the cover of Uncanny X-Men #251.

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine (brown and tan)

Hugh Jackman also briefly appear dressed in the classic brown and tan costume worn by Wolverine in the comics.

Henry Cavill as The Cavillrine

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

The most surprising Wolverine variant is not played by Hugh Jackman, but, instead, is played by Henry Cavill! The former Superman actor has been fan cast as the MCU’s Wolverine for years, and it seems Ryan Reynolds and company are aware of this and wanted to poke a little fun at the idea. In the film, Deadpool goes to recruit a muscular Wolverine, who has his back turned to him while working on a motorcycle. Eventually, the muscular figure turns around to reveal a cigar-smoking, white tanktop-wearing variant of Wolverine played by Henry Cavill. In the credits, Cavill is credited as “The Cavillrine,” a fusion of his last name and the Wolverine.

The Hulk

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

One of the Wolverine variants Deadpool tries to recruit is engaged in battle with the Hulk.

Tyler Mane as Sabretooth

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Tyler Mane reprises his role as Sabretooth from X-Men (2000). Sabretooth works for Cassandra Nova’s group of mutants in The Void.

Aaron Stanford as Pyro

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Also reprising his role from the Fox X-Men movies is Aaron Stanford, who now wears a more comic-accurate costume as Pyro.

Lady Deathstrike

Also among Cassandra Nova’s crew is Lady Deathstrike, one of the villains from X2: X-Men United.

Azazel

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

The teleporting, devil-like mutant from X-Men: First Class is also a member of Cassandra Nova’s crew. However, he is not played by Jason Flemyng in the movie.

Toad

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Toad (not played by Ray Park) is another of Cassandra Nova’s crew.

Juggernaut

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

The Juggernaut is also a member of Cassandra Nova’s crew, although he is not played by Vinnie Jones from X-Men: The Last Stand. Juggernaut’s helmet later plays a key role in Deadpool and Wolverine defeating Cassandra Nova (for the time being, at least) and escaping The Void.

Chris Evans as Johnny Storm / Human Torch

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Saving Deadpool and Wolverine from a group of mutants in The Void is a hooded character, soon revealed to be played by Chris Evans. Deadpool, at first, mistakes the character for Captain America, saying, “Oh Captain, my Captain.” But it is soon affter revealed that Evans is not reprising his role as Captain America here, but is actually back as Johnny Storm (aka The Human Torch). Johnny Storm meets a gruesome death at the hands of Cassandra Nova, which may or may not be Deadpool’s fault (although you’ll have to stay for the post-credits scene to find out).

Ant-Man (sort of)

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

The corpse of Ant-Man is used as Cassandra Nova’s base. As revealed in promotional footage for the film, Reynolds’ Deadpool makes a joke about Paul Rudd finally aging when he first sets eyes on the skeleton of Ant-Man.

Jennifer Garner as Elektra

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Deadpool and Wolverine team up with Jennifer Garner’s Elektra and her team for an assault on Cassandra Nova’s base.

Wesley Snipes as Blade

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Alongside Garner’s Elektra is Wesley Snipes, returning as Blade. The badass vampire character makes a statement in the film that he is the only Blade, which is interesting in light of recent difficulties to get a Mahershala Ali-led Blade film off the ground.

Channing Tatum as Gambit

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

For years, Channing Tatum was developing a solo Gambit movie, but eventually this project fell apart. Thankfully, Deadpool & Wolverine came around and the actor was finally able to bring Gambit to the big screen, albeit for a relatively brief appearance.

Dafne Keen as Laura / X-23

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Alongside Blade, Elektra, and Gambit is X-23 from the 2017 film Logan. Reprising her role is Dafne Keen, who recently starred as Jecki in Star Wars: The Acolyte.

Peggy as Dogpool

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Britain’s ugliest dog plays Dogpool in the film.

Ryan Reynolds as Nicepool

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

The (initial) owner of Dogpool is Nicepool, a variant of Deadpool who has long hair and a hippy vibe to him.

Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Ryan Reynolds’ real-life wife Blake Lively plays Lady Deadpool in a scene that sees Deadpool and Wolverine attacked by an onslaught of Deadpool variants.

Matthew McConaughey as Cowboy Deadpool

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

One of these Deadpool variants is Cowboy Deadpool, voiced by Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey.

Baby Deadpool

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

A baby variant of Deadpool is also in the movie.

Wrexham Deadpool

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

One of the Deadpool variants in the film bears the Welsh flag on his armor, a reference to Ryan Reynolds’ co-ownership of the football club Wrexham A.F.C.

Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15

every Deadpool and Wolverine cameo

Hunter B-15, one of the agents of the TVA in Seasons 1 and 2 in Loki, plays a supporting role in Deadpool and Wolverine (and seems to develop a crush on Rob Delaney’s Peter).
