The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown
Despite the series’ cancellation, stories from the world of The Acolyte will continue in publishing. Coming soon from author Tessa Gratton is the YA novel The Acolyte; The Crystal Crown, which will reunite fan favorites Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar (shoutout to enduring members of the Yord Horde and Jecki Jam!).
The High Republic: A Valiant Vow
Justina Ireland’s next Star Wars middle grade book – The High Republic: A Valiant Vow – is coming soon! The new book will see the return of fan-favorites Imri Canataros and Tep Tep!
The High Republic: Into the Light
The High Republic: Into the Light comes from author Claudia Gray and serves as an interesting mirror to one of the first High Republic novels Into the Dark. The cover art features Reath Silas as he faces off against the blight on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk.
Jedi Knights
One of the most exciting announcements at NYCC was a new Star Wars comic series titled Jedi Knights. The Marvel series is written by Marc Guggenheim and will explore Jedi Knights of the prequel era before the events of The Phantom Menace. Yoda, Yaddle, Dooku, Mace Windu, Aayla Secura, and Qui-Gon Jinn are among the Jedi who will feature in the new comic.
The High Republic: Tempest Breaker
New art from the audio original novel Tempest Breaker sees Marchion Ro and Lourna Dee engaged in a terrifying tango.
Qui-Gon Jinn – An Original Graphic Novel
Our first look at a brand new original graphic novel starring Qui-Gon Jinn was revealed at NYCC! The new graphic novel from Dark Horse comics will focus on two key time points in Jinn’s life – his time as a padawan under Count Dooku and when he was a teacher of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Both stories connect to the Brotherhood of the Ninth Door (which features in Phase II High Republic stories).
Grievous – An Original Graphic Novel
Also coming soon is a new original graphic novel starring General Grievous!
Mace Windu – An Original Graphic Novel
Mere days after the release of the novel Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss, a new original graphic novel starring the purple lightsaber-wielding Jedi Master was announced at NYCC.
Poe Dameron – comic mini-series
Ethan Sacks (Bounty Hunters, Jango Fett) will pen a new comic series starring Poe Dameron! The comic leads up to the events in The Force Awakens and also features Poe’s trusted droid companion BB-8!
The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents
Tech lives! That is, he lives before the events of The Bad Batch series, which is when this new Star Wars comic takes place. The first issue debuts January 2025.
