Star Wars fans will be introduced to a swashbuckling pirate adventure with the launch of the new series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew! But that’s not all that’s in store in a month full of exciting comics, books, and more from a galaxy far, far away. Below includes a list and description of upcoming Star Wars projects in the month of December 2024. It is important to note that all of these release dates are subject to change.
December 2 – Skeleton Crew – Episodes 1 & 2
The new live-action Star Wars series Skeleton Crew premieres December on Disney+. The premiere episode is directed by Jon Watts, who helmed the MCU Spider-Man trilogy and who serves as writer and co-creator of the show. The second episode is directed by David Lowery, who previously directed the acclaimed The Green Knight and worked with Jude Law on the Disney+ film Peter Pan & Wendy.
December 3 – Ahsoka Season 1 – 4K Ultra HD Steelbook
Relive the events of Ahsoka Season 1 with this new collector’s edition steelbook releasing this December. The upcoming physical release of the acclaimed season also features the following bonus features….

December 3 – Someone Who Loves You
Han Solo and Leia Organa’s marriage is depicted in this new younger readers picture book written by Beth Revis and illustrated by Sophie Li.
December 3 – The High Republic: Tempest Breaker
Lourna Dee, Keeve Trennis, and Avar Kriss star in this new audio drama by Cavan Scott. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The Jedi reluctantly team up with the nefarious Lourna Dee in this all-new Star Wars audiobook original, narrated by a full cast.

The latest issue of the official Star Wars magazine features a series companion for The Acolyte, a rundown of every known Inquisitor, a High Republic short story, an exploration of the 1984 movie Caravan of Courage, and more!
December 11 – Battle of Jakku — Republic Under Siege 4
The final issue of Battle of Jakku – Republic Under Siege, from author Alex Segura and artist Stefano Raffaele, releases mid-December. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “A NEW REPUBLIC ON THE ROPES!

December 17 – Skeleton Crew – Episode 4
The Daniels, who directed the Academy Award winner for Best Picture Everything Everywhere All At Once, direct the fourth episode of Skeleton Crew. In our exclusive roundtable interview with the cast of the show, it was revealed that this fourth episode is focused more so on Neel than any other episode.
December 18 – Ahsoka 6
The sixth episode of Ahsoka is adapted in this comic book written by Rodney Barnes and illustrated by Georges Jeanty. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “FAR, FAR AWAY….

December 18 – Ewoks 3
The Ewoks comic series by Steve Orlando and illustrators Álvaro López and Laura Braga continues this month with the release of the third issue. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “THE IMPERIALS CONTINUE THEIR INVASION OF ENDOR!

December 18 – The High Republic Adventures 13
The Dark Horse Comics series set during the High Republic era unfolds this December with the release of the 13th issue, which is written by Daniel José Older and illustrated by Caìo Filipe and Michael Atiyeh. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “Padawan Ram Jomaram and Jedi Knight Farzala Tarabal have begun gathering brave fighters to repel the Nihil invasion of Valo. The penultimate issue of this High Republic mini-series from author Daniel José Older and artists Lucas Marangon and Michael Atiyeh debuts this month. December 24 – Skeleton Crew – Episode 5
What better way to celebrate Christmas Eve than with a new episode of a Star Wars series. The fifth episode of Skeleton Crew, which is directed by Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier, hits Disney+ on December 24.
