Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith is regarded by many as one of the best Star Wars films and one of the best Star Wars novels. As the final installment in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, Random House World and Lucasfilm have announced (via Collider) a deluxe edition re-release of the novelization of Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover.
The deluxe edition novelization features jaw-dropping new cover art as you can see below….

The side of the book ominously reads: “This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker. Forever.”
In addition to cool new cover art, the upcoming re-release also features a number of other exciting additions. Over 150 annotations from author Matthew Stover are included in the book. The novelization will also feature an acetate jacket with foil stamping, a paper over-board book case, gilded and stained edges, illustrated full-color end papers, and a red satin ribbon market.
Tom Hoeler, Editorial Director of Fiction and Special Projects for Random House World provided a quote about the new novelization:
“We couldn’t be more excited to publish this incredible deluxe edition of the Revenge of the Sith novelization. It has been thrilling to work with author Matthew Stover and Lucasfilm to create a fully annotated edition that gives readers unprecedented insight to the creation of this masterpiece. Across nearly 50 years of Star Wars books, it stands alone, and even among film novelizations its approach to adapting characters and story from screen to page is unique. Two decades later, this novelization is as essential, enduring, and influential – on readers and creators – as it has ever been. Bringing the book back to hardcover in a stunning deluxe keepsake edition is a perfect way to celebrate 20 years of Revenge of the Sith.”
