Harrison Ford’s ‘Star Wars’ Callback On Set of ‘Captain America’

By George & Josh Bate

Earlier this year, Harrison Ford became one of the few actors to leap from a galaxy far, far away to the sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe when he made his debut as President Thaddeus Ross in Captain America: Brave New World.

The latest MCU movie will be available to rent and purchase on digital platforms on April 15 and on 4K Blu-ray/DVD on May 13. Before the release, the gag reel from the bonus features has been released online (courtesy of ET).

The gag reel, which can be seen here, features a number of hilarious outtakes, but one in particular will standout for Star Wars fans. Check it out below….

While filming a scene with Anthony Mackie, Ford looks at the camera and says, “You can type this shit, but you sure can’t say it.” This is a reference to what Ford jokingly yelled to George Lucas on the set of the original Star Wars. Ford infamously said, “George! You can type this shit, but you sure can’t say it! Move your mouth when you’re typing!” in response to some of the dialogue Lucas wrote for his character Han Solo.

All these years later, Ford still has reverence for his famous phrase while making Star Wars.
