Marvel Animation’s new series Marvel Studios premieres on September 24 on Disney+ and, ahead of the show, a new trailer and poster have dropped.

The upcoming series will be the 16th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and follows the story of the episode “What If…Zombies?!” from the animated series What If….? The new show, which is based on the famous comic run from Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips, takes place in an alternate timeline in which most of the world’s population, including the Avengers have turned into zombies. A group of survivors, determined to restore peace in the world, are determined to discover the key to bringing an end to the zombie plague once and for all.

Other confirmed characters include Death Dealer and Xu Xenwu, in addition to zombie versions of Captain America, Abomination, Ghost, Captain Marvel, Ikaris, Okoye, and Hawkeye.
Unlike most other MCU projects, Marvel Zombies is rated TV-MA, fitting given the bloody nature of the source material. The trailer above kicks off with a great graphic previewing the full usage of the TV-MA rating.
