Fresh off of last week’s special look during the Super Bowl, a brand new full trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu has been officially released. Check out the trailer below and keep reading for our full breakdown of the new footage.

The trailer begins with yesterday’s special preview of the trailer, highlighting an Apocalypse Now-esque sunrise and Mando and Grogu aboard the Razor Crest. The footage offers our best look yet at Din Djarin’s new Razor Crest, which Jon Favreau recently confirmed is the exact same model as his previous ship. In The Book of Boba Fett, Din Djarin asked Pelli Moto to keep an eye out for any other Razor Crests and it seems as if she uncovered one as the Mandalorian’s Naboo starfighter is nowhere to be seen in the trailer.
The location near the beginning of the trailer (seen below) looks like it could be Coruscant.

Din Djarin presents a credit with the New Republic logo/sigil on it in the trailer.

The footage continues by showing Din Djarin inquire about a Hutt with a member of the Ardennian species. Ardennian first appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story in the form of Rio Durant, who was voiced by The Mandalorian and Grogu director Jon Favreau. Rumors are swirling that the Ardennian is voiced by the legendary director Martin Scorsese.

The Hutt twins from The Book of Boba Fett appear in the trailer. Does this mean Din Djarin will visit Tatooine in the new movie? Quite possibly.
The below shot from the trailer reveals a look at an Imperial Shadow Council, presumably of former Imperial officers gathering to restart the fallen Empire. In the corners of the shot, you can spot Snowtroopers, a type of of trooper who first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.

Din Djarin says, “We’ll take out every bad guy in your deck of cards” to Sigourney Weaver’s Colonel Ward. This reiterates Din Djarin’s new status in the film as, rather than a rogue bounty hunter, an agent operating on behalf of the New Republic.
Look at Grogu giving a salute to Sigourney Weaver!

The droids in the below shot of the trailer appear to be the Mercenary Guard Droids recently revealed through toys for the film.

The trailer offers a first look at the live-action debut of Embo and his anooba pet Marrok. Embo first appeared in The Clone Wars as a bounty hunter and will seemingly cross paths with Din Djarin in the new movie.

The trailer also provides our best look yet at a grown-up Rotta the Hutt in live-action. Rotta the Hutt first appeared as a baby in the 2008 film The Clone Wars and will be voiced by The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White here.

After appearing briefly in The Mandalorian Season 3, Star Wars Rebels favorite Zeb makes his feature film debut in The Mandalorian and Grogu. He is spotted in the trailer remarking how much he likes Grogu.

Grogu appears to be using some of the Jedi meditation skills Luke taught him in the new film.
The translated writing in the below shot from the trailer reads “Weathers Apollo,” a tribute to the late arl Weathers, who layed Greef Karga in the show.

We’ve got Baby Yoda. Now we have Baby Greedo. That’s right, a baby Rodian is spotted in a pram in the trailer.

After remaining unmasked for the entirety of Season 3, Pedro Pascal appears without his helmet several times in the trailer. What leads the Mandalorian to remove his helmet, however, remains unclear. Does Din Djarin undergo a reversal in his stance on how Mandalorians should not remove their helmets? Or is it a scenario like in Chapter 15: The Believer in which he is forced to take off his helmet? Either way, we’re happy to see Pascal be the literal face of The Mandalorian once again. This will be the first time in six years since we’ve seen him unmasked as Din Djarin.

Grogu is eating the same blue cookies in the trailer that he ate in Season 2.

The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters on May 22
