Amazing ‘Ahsoka’ Easter Egg Spotted With Implications for Season 2

By George & Josh Bate

Three years after the first season of Ahsoka premiered, an eagle-eyed Star Wars fan has spotted an Easter egg with possibly huge implications for Season 2.

Moraimessenger on Twitter/X pointed out a unique winged creature on Peridea in Ahsoka Season 1. Morai, the convor that represented the Daughter and has followed Ahsoka Tano ever since the Daughter’s death, can be spotted on numerous occasions throughout the series (and even The Mandalorian Season 2), but a creature representing the Son can also be spotted.

If you recall, the Son transforms into a winged creature in the final episode of the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars. A creature bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Son’s transformation appears in the background of Ahsoka Season 1.

What does this all mean? Well, for those unfamiliar, the Mortis Gods were introduced in The Clone Wars as three extremely powerful figures that represent three distinct facets of the Force: the dark side (the Son), the light side (the Daughter), and balance (the Father). It is implied that, through the murder of the Daughter in The Clone Wars, the balance of the Force was off, thus setting the stage perfectly for Anakin’s descent to the dark side in Revenge of the Sith.

Ahsoka Season 1 concludes with Ray Stevenson’s Baylan Skoll looking out upon massive statues of the Mortis Gods, implying that Season 2 will explore the former Jedi’s fascination with the Father, Son, and Daughter in greater depth.

The obscure Easter egg from Season 1 implies that, just as how the Daughter lives on, so does the Son. Peridea clearly has a connection to the gods and we’re bound to find out more about this when Season 2 premieres, hopefully sometime this year.

Last year, another wild theory about Ahsoka Season 2 circulated, suggesting that the new episodes would feature the canon debut of Abeloth. Read more about that theory here.
