Ahead of Star Wars: Starfighter hitting theaters in May 2027, Lucasfilm Publishing announced a whopping eight tie-in books for the upcoming Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling film at a panel at New York Comic Con 2026 today.
Several of these books will be published in April 2027, meaning that Star Wars fans will be introduced to characters, worlds, and potential plot threads from Star Wars: Starfighter one month before the film hits theaters.
One of the releases is an Expanded Edition Novelization of the film, written by Deliliah S. Dawson, who is known for writing Phasma, Galaxy’s Edge: Black Spire, and Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade. The description for the novelization explains that the book is “an expanded retelling” of the film “with scenes you didn’t see on screen!” This means that an Expanded Edition of Star Wars: Starfighter has been announced before the film has even hit theaters! How cool is that?
