The Force is with Fortnite, it seems.
Disney and Epic Games have announced an expansion of their existing partnership that will bring brand new games and an exclusive 10-minute preview of The Mandalorian and Grogu to Fortnite.
Across various branded seasons and special events, Star Wars has featured regularly in Fortnite over the years, but today’s announcement marks a massive step forward, with new features and a toolkit that lets developers build their own Star Wars games inside Fortnite.
On May 1, Lucasfilm and Epic will launch three new games….
- Escape Vader: a four-player co-op game similar to Alien: Isolation and Dead By Daylight in which teams attempt to escape Darth Vader
- Galactic Siege: a 10 vs. 10 multiplayer battle across planets
- Droid Tycoon: a game in which players can build and customize their own droids

Throughout the month of May, other Star Wars games will be rolled out on Fortnite.
But that’s not all.
On May 19, the companies will launch The Mandalorian and Grogu Watch Party Island, providing players the opportunity to watch a full 10-minutes from the upcoming Star Wars film.
On May 26, Jon Favreau will appear on the island’s amphitheater for a Q&A about his movie.

With the season finale of Maul – Shadow Lord premiering on Disney+ and The Mandalorian and Grogu hitting theaters soon after, today’s news about the massive Star Wars x Fortnite collaboration promises that next month will be a feast for Star Wars fans to enjoy.
