Blumhouse’s adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s has received an encouraging update. Emma Tammi (The Wind, Hulu’s Into the Dark) has been tapped to direct the long-awaited adaptation of the popular horror video game series.
Jim Henson’s Creature Shop will bring the animatronics of the film to life as it prepares for a production start in February 2023.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s video game series is a unique take on the survival horror genre, set in a creepy children’s restaurant with murderous animatronic creatures. The player assumes the role of a night watchman, who is tasked with using an array of gadgets to keep an eye on the creatures and survive the night.
