Start off the autumn with a number of new movies and television shows. Check out a list of and descriptions for the movies and shows we think you should keep an eye on this month below:
Bottoms

Where: In theaters
Plot: Unpopular best friends PJ (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri) start a high school fight club to meet girls and lose their virginity. They soon find themselves in over their heads when the most popular students start beating each other up in the name of self-defense.

The Nun II
When: September 8
Where: In theaters
Plot: The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak in this latest film in The Conjuring Universe.

The Changeling
When: September 8
Where: Apple TV+
Plot: Based on the bestselling book, Apollo (LaKeith Stanfield) and Emma’s (Clark Backo) love story is a fairy tale, until Emma mysteriously vanishes; bereft, Apollo finds himself on a death-defying odyssey through a New York City he didn’t know existed.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
When: September 10
Where: AMC / AMC+
Plot: Following his departure from The Commonwealth, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) washes ashore in France, raising the ire of a splintered but growing autocratic movement centered in Paris and endangering a young boy at the heart of a benevolent religious movement.

A Haunting in Venice
When: September 15
Where: In theaters
Plot: Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) investigates a murder while attending a Halloween seance at a haunted palazzo in Venice, Italy. Michelle Yeoh, Tina Fey Kelly Reilly, Jamie Dornan, and Emma Laird co-star as suspects.

Sex Education – Season 4
When: September 21
Where: Netflix
Plot: Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe, and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level, and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. The Continental: From the World of John Wick

Where: Peacock
Plot: In this new TV series, the Continental is a chain of hotels around the world that serves as a neutral ground for members of the underworld; the hotel workers of the Continental try to handle the hitmen and murderers who come to stay.

The Creator
When: September 29
Where: In theaters
Plot: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards helms this new sci-fi epic. As a future war between the human race and artificial intelligence rages on, ex-special forces agent Joshua (John David Washington) is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI. The Creator has developed a mysterious weapon that has the power to end the war and all of mankind. As Joshua and his team of elite operatives venture into enemy-occupied territory, they soon discover the world-ending weapon is actually an AI in the form of a young child.

Saw X
When: September 29
Where: In theaters
Plot: Hoping for a miraculous cure, John Kramer travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer uses deranged and ingenious traps to turn the tables on the con artists.

Plot: A spin-off series of the acclaimed The Boy follows a group of young adult superheroes, or “supes”, who are tested in battle royal challenges at the Godolkin Univeriity School of Crimefightin run by Vought International.
