We had the pleasure of being in attendance for the eighth annual Chicago Indie Critics Awards, now termed the Windie Awards, which honored the year’s achievements in film. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer dominated the award show, taking away the awards for Best Studio Film and Best Director, amongst others.
Chicago Indie Critics also present The Impact Award, which honors a group of persons who have had a positive impact on the Chicagoland film community. The Impact Award winner this year was Dennis Scott, the organist at Chicago’s noted Music Box Theatre.
