New episodes of The Bad Batch and a host of exciting comics arrive this month. Below includes a list and description of upcoming Star Wars projects in the month of March 2024. It is important to note that all of these release dates are subject to change.
March 5 – Star Wars Vol. 7: Dark Droids
This new trade paperback compilation collects issues 37-41 of Charles Soule’s Star Wars comic. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “When something goes horribly wrong with Lobot, it puts the Rebellion at terrible risk! Lando Calrissian will do anything to save his friend — even if it means betraying all his other friends…”
March 5 – Star Wars: Dark Droids: D-Squad trade paperback
All four issues of Marc Guggenheim’s comic mini-series are collected in this new trade paperback. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The unsung heroes of the Clone Wars return!
A terrible scourge is corrupting the galaxy’s droids! To fight this menace, R2-D2 has to assemble a team of droid heroes: the D-Squad! March 5 – The High Republic: Defy the Storm
Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton pen this upcoming YA novel set during the High Republic era. The publisher’s summary for the upcoming Phase III novel is as follows: “Nowhere is safe within the eye of the storm….
The Galactic Republic is in chaos following the Nihil’s shocking destruction of the gleaming space station Starlight Beacon. Capitalizing on their victory, the Nihil have erected a barrier called the Stormwall around a section of Republic space and claimed it for themselves. Within this Occlusion Zone, people live at the mercy of the Nihil–and the Nihil are not known for mercy.

March 6 – The Bad Batch – Season 3, Episode 5 “The Return”
The first of five new episodes of The Bad Batch debuting this March hits Disney+ on March 6.
March 6 – Star Wars 44
Writer Charles Soule and illustrator Madibek Musabekov helm the latest issue of the Star Wars comic for Marvel Comics. The publisher’s summary for the upcoming 44th issue is as follows: “THE TRIAL OF LANDO CALRISSIAN!
After the events of DARK DROIDS, LANDO is at a crossroads.
Saving his friend LOBOT has cost him more than he expected as now ADMIRAL ACKBAR and MON MOTHMA are putting Lando on trial.

March 6 – The High Republic 4
Phase III of the High Republic era continues with the fourth issue of the comic series from Cavan Scott and illustrator Jim Towe. The publisher’s summary for the new issue is as follows: “INTO THE NIHIL OCCLUSION ZONE!
JEDI MASTER KEEVE TRENNIS has disobeyed direct orders from CORUSCANT and entered NIHIL space.
Her mission: to find and save a soul who was thought lost.

March 8 – Star Wars Unlimited – Spark of Rebellion
A new trading card game from Fantasy Flight Games debuts this March. Launching this game is the expansion pack Spark of Rebellion, which will contain 252 mechanically unique cards and focus on the original trilogy.
March 12 – I, Jedi unabridged audiobook (The Essential Legends Collection)
Michael A. Stackpole’s Legends novel receives an unabridged audiobook version as part of The Essential Legends Collection.
March 12 – Star Wars Insider 224
The publisher’s summary for the latest issue of Star Wars Insider is as follows: “In this issue of Star Wars Insider we profile the kind of individuals who either strove to rule the galaxy far, far, away; were thrust into such a position; or struck their own paths leading crime gangs and other nefarious groups. On a lighter note, we get arty with creature concept designer Jake Lunt Davies; meet Ethan Sacks, the writer behind Marvel Comics’ thrilling Bounty Hunter series; and get the Max Rebo Band back together to remember their heady days on the set of Return of the Jedi as the biggest musical act in the galaxy.

March 13 – The Bad Batch – Season 3, Episodes 6-7 “Infiltration” and “Extraction”
A two-part episode arc of The Bad Batch premieres this March on Disney+.
March 13 – Darth Vader 44
Mysterious new characters appear in the latest issue of Greg Pak’s Darth Vader series. The publisher’s summary for the upcoming 44th issue is as follows: “RISE OF THE MAR CORPS!
DARTH VADER is picking up the pieces after the SCOURGE wreaked havoc.

March 13 – Mace Windu 2
Continue to follow the adventures of Mace Windu prior to The Clone Wars in this new comic series from writer Marc Bernardin and illustrator Georges Jeanty. The publisher’s summary for the upcoming second issue is as follows: “INTO THE STORM AGAINST THE BORE WORM!
MACE WINDU & AZITA CRUZ must work together to escape the menace of the BORE WORM!
But what else lies in their path and who is following them?

March 13 – The High Republic Adventures 4
Star Wars staple Daniel José Older continues his series for Dark Horse Comics this month. The publisher’s summary for the upcoming fourth issue is as follows: “Zeen, Jedi Knight Qort, and droid 5A-G3 have been following every clue to find answers about their friends who are missing—and presumed dead—since the Starlight Beacon disaster. Together with an assemblage of battle–ready Jedi, smugglers, and pirates, they’ve got a new lead to pursue and it is taking them straight to a Nihil prison ship…Dare they hope to discover surviving allies there?”
March 14 – Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection

Our favorite Star Wars video games return this month! Lucasfilm Games and collaborators announced Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection, a re-release of the classic video games Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005). The collection will release March 14 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. For more info on the new release, see below.
March 20 – The Bad Batch – Season 3, Episode 8 “Bad Territory”
Get ready for more Clone Force 99 action with this new episode of the series.
March 20 – Jango Fett 1
He’s just a simple man, trying to make his way in the universe. And now he’s made his way to comic stands with this new comic series from writer Ethan Sacks. The publisher’s summary for Jango Fett 1 is as follows: “JANGO FETT EMBARKS ON A BRAND-NEW MISSION! AS SEEN IN STAR WARS: REVELATIONS! The comic adaptation of Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn: Alliances novel continues this month. The publisher’s summary for the upcoming third issue is as follows: “A SPACE BATTLE FOR THE AGES!

March 20 – Visions – Takashi Okazaki 1

March 26 – Star Wars: Dark Droids trade paperback

All five issues of Charles Soule’s comic crossover event are collected in this trade paperback. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “Horror grips the Star Wars galaxy as the mysterious Scourge ravages the galaxy’s droids, causing chaos for both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire!

March 27 – Obi-Wan Kenobi 6
Part 6 of Obi-Wan Kenobi is adapted in this comic by writer Jody Houser and illustrator Salvador Larroca. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “THE ACTION-PACKED FINALE!
OBI-WAN realizes saving LEIA isn’t enough – he must face DARTH VADER once more!
Meanwhile, REVA has found her ultimate bargaining chip: LUKE SKYWALKER!”
March 27 – The High Republic Adventures: Crash Landing
Written by Daniel José Older and illustrated by Rachele Aragno and Michael Atiyeh, this new one-shot comic is part of The High Republic Phase III. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “ash” Ongwa and her ragtag crew have been fighting against anyone who had a hand in the Nihil infiltration that plunged her home planet of Corellia into chaos. Even though an uneasy peace has been reached, if they don’t continue to fight, everything they sacrificed for could slip away.
