Heading into the autumn, there are a number of exciting Star Wars books, comics, and more on the horizon. Below includes a list and description of upcoming Star Wars projects in the month of September 2024. It is important to note that all of these release dates are subject to change.
September 3 – Star Wars Vol. 8: The Sith and the Skywalker
Issues 42-25 of Charles Soule’s Star Wars series (plus Revelations 1 and a story released for Free Comic Book Day 2024) are collected in this upcoming trade paperback. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The next shocking chapter in the saga of Luke Skywalker! Luke knows his destiny is leading him toward a confrontation with Darth Vader. But Vader is a Dark Lord of the Sith, and Luke is barely even a Jedi. To have any chance at survival, he must find a way to train himself in the battle techniques he will soon face. September 3 – Young Jedi Adventures: Snowy Mountain Rescue
Young Star Wars fans can get their hands on this new Golden Books title tying into the Disney+ and Disney Jr. series Young Jedi Adventures. Read the publisher’s summary here: “This Little Golden Book is based on an exciting episode of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures airing on Disney Jr. and Disney+!

September 3 – Young Jedi Adventures: The Harvest Feast
This World of Reading book adapts an episode of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures into a book for young readers. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “Tied to the very first full-length animated Star Wars series created for preschoolers and their families, set in the exciting new era of the High Republic!
In this Level 1 early reader, Jedi younglings Kai, Lys, and Nubs visit another planet to help the townspeople organize a festival that celebrates what it means to be thankful. September 4 – The Acolyte – Kelanacca 1
Kelnacca didn’t last long in The Acolyte, but Marvel Comics have a new comic that dives further into the Wookiee Jedi’s story. The publisher’s summary for the one-shot comic from writer Cavan Scott and illustrator Marika Cresta is as follows: “KELNACCA FROM THE HIT DISNEY+ SERIES DEBUTS!
CAVAN SCOTT and MARIKA CRESTA bring the action as Wookiee Jedi Kelnacca steps into the pages of his own issue!

September 4 – The High Republic Adventures: Crash and Burn
Daniel José Older pens and Nick Brokenshire and Michael Atiyeh illustrate this one-shot comic set 100 years before The Acolyte. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “After rescuing Nihil villain Krix Kamerat from a Republic prison, vigilante Crash Ongwa and her crew team up with the former Nihil to hunt down Marchion Ro. But taking out the infamous warlord is easier said than done, especially when the insufferable Krix is involved. Can Crash and her newfound partner overcome their differences, or will infighting be their downfall?

September 4 – The High Republic Adventures – Echoes of Fears 1
A new Star Wars comic miniseries debuts this month from author George Mann and illustrator Vincenzo Federici. The publisher’s summary for the debut issue is as follows: “Jedi Knight Reath Silas and Jedi Padawan Amadeo Azzazzo are charged with delving into the Jedi Archives to learn more about the mysterious Echo Stones and their Force-amplifying powers. September 10 – Queen’s Series: Padmé Paperback Box Set
The three novels of E.K. Johnston’s Padmé series are collected in this new box-set. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “This box set collects the paperback editions of Queen’s Shadow, Queen’s Peril, and Queen’s Hope written by the #1 New York Times best-selling author of Ahsoka.

September 10 – Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 9 – Rise of the Schism Imperial
This new trade paperback collects issues 42-45 of Darth Vader, the fifth story from Revelations 1, and the 25th Anniversary Phantom Menace comic special. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The saga of Darth Vader continues as the Empire is rocked by treason! In the wake of DARK DROIDS, Vader explores his powers and takes on the most dangerous team of rebel heroes he’s ever faced!

Fans of Legends can get their hands on this collection of classic Star Wars comics. September 11 – Inquisitors 3
The fourth issue of Rodney Barnes’ Inquisitors comic hits shelves this month. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “DESTROY THE JEDI!

September 11 – Star Wars 50
Charles Soule’s long-running Star Wars comic series comes to an end this month with its 50th and final issue. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “GIANT-SIZED STAR WARS EPIC!

September 14 – LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy

Get ready for Darth Jar Jar in this upcoming four-piece special on Disney+. LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy sees the entire Star Wars galaxy get completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact called the Cornerstone from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together. Mark Hamill, Ahmed Best, Sam Witwer, Kelly Marie Tran, and Naomi Ackie are among the voice cast.
September 17 – Star Wars: Thrawn: Alliances trade paperback
Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn: Alliances book was adapted into a comic series, which is now compiled together in a new collection. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “Return to the saga of Grand Admiral Thrawn with the comic-book adaptation of the hit novel THRAWN: ALLIANCES!
As rivals for the favor of the Emperor, Grand Admiral Thrawn and Darth Vader may seem like unlikely partners for a crucial mission! Yet this formidable twosome has worked together before. September 18 – Darth Vader 50
One of our favorite Star Wars comic series comes to an end this month. The publisher’s summary for the 50th and final issue of Greg Pak’s Darth Vader comic is as follows: “GIANT-SIZED DARTH VADER EPIC!

September 18 – The High Republic Adventures 10
The 10th issue of Daniel José Older and Toni Bruno’s Dark Horse Comics series releases this month. The publisher’s summary is as follows “Zeen, Lula, and their friends come face-to-face with a familiar nemesis on the streets of Eriadu City! As the Republic and the Jedi try to protect the capital from capture, they must do battle with old enemies. The fate of the planet is on the line as the forces of light and dark vie for its allegiance!”
September 24 – The High Republic: Tears of the Nameless
George Mann pens this YA novel set during the High Republic era. The publisher’s summary for the new book is as follows: “The New York Times best-selling series continues in this heart-wrenching sequel to Defy the Storm where fans will reunite with fan-favorite Jedi Knight Reath Silas.

The third issue of Marvel Comics’ adaptation of the hit Disney+ series Ahsoka debuts this month. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “ME TO FLY!

September 25 – The High Republic Adventures – Saber for Hire 4
The fourth and final issue of Cavan Scott and Rachael Stott’s High Republic comic mini-series arrives this September. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The epic miniseries comes to a shocking conclusion! The identity of the sinister Child of the Storm revealed. A past confronted and a sacrifice made as Ty Yorrick and her apprentice face their biggest challenge yet. Ty’s life will never be the same!”
