2024 was a great year for Star Wars, and 2025 shows no signs of slowing down. With new episodes of Skeleton Crew, exciting comics, and more all releasing, January 2025 is full of stories for Star Wars fans to get their hands on. Below includes a list and description of upcoming Star Wars projects in the month of January 2025. It is important to note that all of these release dates are subject to change.
January 1 – Ahsoka 7
Writer Rodney Barnes and illustrator Steven Cummings adapt the seventh episode of the Disney+ series Ahsoka in this new comic book. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “DREAMS AND MADNESS! Hera must answer to the New Republic while a reunion takes place far, far away.”
January 7 – Skeleton Crew – Episode 7
The penultimate episode of Skeleton Crew premieres January 7 on Disney+. This episode is written by Lee Isaac Chung, who previously helmed an episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 and who also directed Twisters and Minari. In the promotional runup to Skeleton Crew, Jude Law revealed that Jod Na Nawood’s backstory is revealed in episode 7.
January 7 – Star Wars Legends: The Empire Omnibus Vol. 3
This new hardcover Omnibus collects a variety of comic series published previously in The Empire Vol. 4, Vol. 5, Vol. 6, and Vol. 7.

January 8 – Battle of Jakku — Last Stand 2
Alex Segura’s multi-part Battle of Jakku comic series continues this month with the second issue of Battle of Jakku – Last Stand. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “A BRAZEN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT LEAVES THE HEROES REELING – AS A DARKER TRUTH IS UNCOVERED! LUKE, LEIA and HAN are reunited – but under dire circumstances! What’s left of the Empire must react to a new threat – on the eve of the BATTLE OF JAKKU! A traitor revealed! January 14 – Skeleton Crew – Episode 8
The finale of Skeleton Crew sees Jon Watts return to the director’s chair. Let’s hope this isn’t the last we see of Wim, Jod, Neel, Fern, KB, because we’ve loved Skeleton Crew so far. Fingers crossed for Season 2!

January 15 – Battle of Jakku — Last Stand 3
The penultimate issue of Alex Segura’s Battle of Jakku series hits comic stores on January 15. The publisher’s summary for Battle of Jakku – Last Stand 3 is as follows: “THE BATTLE OF JAKKU UNLEASHED!

January 21 – Star Wars Insider Presents: The Dark Side Collection
This new release from Titan Comics provides an in-depth look at everything related to the dark side of the Force. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “A special souvenir hardcover collection themed around the dark side of the Force.
An in-depth look at the sinister practitioners of the dark side of the Force—from Darth Sidious to Darth Vader—this deluxe edition spotlights infamous Sith Lords and galactic villains with revealing interview material from the cast and crew of various Star Wars productions.”
January 21 – Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Volume 2 (Phase III)
Issues 6-10 of Daniel José Older’s The High Republic Adventures comic series for Dark Horse Comics are collected in this new trade paperback. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The forces of light and life get ready for their climactic battle against the villainous Nihil! Experience an untold chapter of the galaxy’s history in this groundbreaking saga!

January 28 – Star Wars: Jango Fett – Trail of Lost Hope
All four issues of the Jango Fett comic miniseries by Ethan Sacks are collected in this new trade paperback collection. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “The legendary Mandalorian bounter hunter Jango Fett embarks on a brand-new mission!

January 28 – Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Saber for Hire

January 29 – The High Republic Adventures (2023) 14
Lots of High Republic fun to be had at the end of January 2025. The 14th issue of The High Republic Adventures, from writer Daniel José Older and illustrators Harvey Tolibao and Michael Atiyeh, drops on January 29. The publisher’s summary is as follows: “Fighting erupts on Eriadu! After months of oppression by the dastardly Nihil, valiant partners Lula and Zeen lead the charge against the occupying force. January 29 – The High Republic Adventures Phase III Annual
A new anthology manual featuring stories written by Justina Ireland, Charles Soule, Rosemary Soule, Alyssa Wong, Zoraida Córdova, and Cavan Scott and illustrated by Liana Kangas, Nick Brokenshire Andy Duggan, Lucas Marangon, Rachele Aragno, Colin Craker, and Michael Atiyeh also releases this month.

More Ty Yorrick action here in the fourth and final issue of the comic miniseries The High Republic Adventures – Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone. Another High Republic comic miniseries wraps up this month with The High Republic Adventures – Echoes of Fear 4. The publisher’s summary for the comic written by George Mann and illustrated by Vincenzo Federici, Francesco Segala, and Gloria Martinelli is as follows: “Jedi Knight Reath Silas and Jedi Padawan Amadeo Azzazzo embark on a desperate mission to recover the Rod of Ages—the last known fragment of an Echo Stone—in time to help contain the greatest threat that has ever faced the Jedi Order: the deadly Force eaters known as the Nameless.”
