Star Wars returns to the big screen, Maul – Shadow Lord Season 1 comes to an end, and the final issue of Star Wars Insider is published this May.
Below includes a list and descriptions of every upcoming Star Wars project releasing in May 2026. It is important to note that all of these release dates are subject to change.
May 4 – Maul – Shadow Lord: “Chapter 9: Strange Allies” and “Chapter 10: Finale”

The final two episodes of Season 1 of Maul – Shadow Lord debut on Disney+ on May the 4th this year.
May 5 – The Mandalorian: The Manga, Vol. 4

The manga adaptation of Chapters 6-8 of The Mandalorian is published in the U.S. this month.
The publisher’s summary for the manga by Yusuke Osawa is as follows: “The Mandalorian and the Child are on the run, and nowhere is safe!
It’s time for the Mandalorian to return to Nevarro and settle matters with the Imperial Remnant. Greef Karga escorts the bounty hunter into town in the hopes of assassinating the Client, but when have things ever gone according to plan?

May 5 – Star Wars Insider 237

The Force-filled final issue of Star Wars Insider celebrating the 38+ year run of the magazine hits shelves this May, just after May the 4th.

May 6 – Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch—Rogue Agents 3

The penultimate issue of the Bad Batch comic written by Michael Moreci, illustrated by Reese Hannigan, Elisabetta D’Amico, and Michael Atiyeh arrives this month.

May 6 – Rogue One – Cassian Andor 1

A one-shot comic taking place between Andor Season 2 and Rogue One, depicting Cassian’s mission on the Ring of Kafrene, debuts this month.

May 12 – Star Wars: Out of the Darkness

Issues 10-12 of the new mainline Star Wars comic are collected in this new trade paperback.

A trade paperback collecting the entirety of The High Republic Adventures (2022), The Nameless Terror mini-series, plus the Quest of the Jedi one-shot, hits comic stores mid-May.

An updated version of the 2019 in-universe reference book is available wherever books are sold this month.

Man Tsang’s manga adaptation of Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn novel from 2017 will be published in the U.K. this
May 13 – Shadow of Maul 3

Fresh off the Season 1 finale of Maul – Shadow Lord, the third issue of the prequel comic written by written by Benjamin Percy, illustrated by Madibek Musabekov, and published by Marvel Comics will be published on May 13.
The publisher’s summary is as follows: “BETRAYAL ON JANIX!
