The nominations for the 2026 Golden Globes were announced early Monday morning, and likely left Paul Thomas Anderson and Mike White very happy.
Anderson’s acclaimed and timely dramedy One Battle After Another was the most nominated movie (scoring nine noms), while the third season of Mike White and HBO’s The White Lotus were the most nominated television series (scoring six noms). NEON, meanwhile, secured the most nominations of any film distributor, earning a whopping 21 noms.
Another noteworthy nomination goes to Diego Luna, whose Best Actor in a Drama Series nod for his role in Andor makes him the first actor to be nominated for a Golden Globe for a Star Wars project since Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars nearly 50 years ago.
Also shoutout to Amy Madigan, whose remarkably unsettling performance in Zach Cregger’s Weapons earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination. We love seeing horror get recognized at awards shows!
