The Mandalorian and Grogu may be a few months away, but Lucasfilm and ILM are making the wait for the upcoming Star Wars movie a little more tolerable with the release of a brand new short film.
Part of the Star Wars Minis series of short films that began with The Gingerbread Death Star Trench Run last month, The Mandalorian: Knot a Toy has debuted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel. Check out the short film below….
The Mandalorian: Knot a Toy retells an iconic interaction between Din Djarin and Grogu from Season 1 of the hit Disney+ series using a charming, crochet style of animation.

This short isn’t the only release from Lucasfilm/Disney ahead of the upcoming Star Wars movie. During Super Bowl LX on Sunday February 8, a new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is expected to drop and reveal more about Din Djarin and Grogu’s first adventure on the big screen.
