Warner Bros. just showed every other studio how to do CinemaCon right.
Recent months have been tumultuous for the major studio to say the least. The iconic film house responsible for movies like Casablanca, The Matrix, The Dark Knight, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone signed an agreement to be acquired by Netflix late last year before a surprising turn of events saw Paramount Pictures step in and emerge victorious in acquiring Warner Bros, pending final regulatory approval. The industry-altering shake up casts all manner of doubt on the future of Warner Bros. movies and the theatrical landscape more broadly, topics that CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy opted to ignore during their CinemaCon 2026 presentation in favor of a focus on their incredible 2025.
Of course, De Luca and Abdy are coming off a stunning year at Warner Bros, which saw their films One Battle After Another and Sinners battle it out for Oscar glory, horror movies Weapons and Final Destination Bloodlines take over the box office, and Superman and The Minecraft Movie launch successful new franchises.
The duo confidently moved ahead with a presentation that commemorated last year’s accomplishments and previewed an exciting, diverse slate of movies to come, ranging from superhero epics to video game adaptations to legacy sequels to prestige pics and more.
Keep reading for a comprehensive breakdown of every reveal, announcement, preview, and first look during Warner Bros. Pictures’ presentation at CinemaCon 2026. Due to the sheer number of films discussed during The Big Picture presentation, this article is broken up by year of planned release.
2026
Digger
Tom Cruise and Alejandro G. Iñárritu were welcomed to CinemaCon with resounding cheers and applause from The Dolby Colosseum crowd. The duo were there to speak about their new film Digger, described as a comedy of catastrophic proportions.
“His voice in cinema is extraordinary,” Cruise said in explaining why he wanted to work with Iñárritu. “I am so honored to work with you and be inspired by you.”
Cruise went on to explain that his adoration for Iñárritu dates back to Amores perros, a film that Cruise wore his VHS out from him watching it so much.
Iñárritu revealed that he came up with the idea for Digger nine years ago. Two years after devising the idea, he approached Cruise while the movie star was filming Top Gun: Maverick. Cruise discussed how he enthusiastically hopped on his motorcycle and journeyed to visit Iñárritu. Cruise jokingly (or perhaps not jokingly) suggested he travels by motorcycle as he can avoid traffic that way.
“Watching Tom Cruise becoming Digger Rockwell, I was not prepared for that,” Iñárritu went on to say. “We know he’s fearless. The stunts, the plane, the jumps. But I have to say, embodying this character is another kind of fearless. I think this role may be his most challenging.”
As Cruise described himself as a life-long student, Iñárritu remarked, “Its beautiful at my age to still be learning…I needed some fearless collaborator and I knew only Tom could do that….Making it with him, there was no other choice.”
Cruise elaborated, “It took 40 years for me to put on the boots of Digger Rockwell.”
“The movie is wild,” Cruise said. “It’s funny. I can’t wait for you all to see it.”
We definitely can’t wait to see Digger, especially after having an extended trailer for the film. Keep reading for a description of the footage.
Cruise dons a beer belly, pale skin, thinning white hair, and a thick Southern accent as he takes on the role of Digger Rockwell. Digger is one of the world’s wealthiest men, an oil baron with a nasty attitude.
Digger has a video call with a scientist in the Arctic, who warns of an impending ecological disaster. The billionaire ignores the scientist’s warnings, only to soon find out that the prophesied doomsday scenario is real. Meeting with an ailing U.S. president played by John Goodman, Digger is urged to fix the problem he has created.
Riz Ahmed is featured throughout the trailer, seemingly playing Digger’s assistant. We also catch quick glimpses of Sandra Hüller and Jesse Plemons.
The footage concludes in fittingly bizarre fashion as Digger feeds and strokes his dying white cat while walking around shirtless in his mansion.
Needless to say, Digger looks insane. You’ve never seen Tom Cruise like this before. This is a five-minute trailer better than most movies. It feels like Iñárritu and Cruise have created this century’s Dr. Strangelove.
Digger is in theaters October 2, 2026.
The End of Oak Street
Producer J.J. Abrams and writer/director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows) team up for a new sci-fi survival film hitting theaters this summer.
The End of Oak Street takes place in a regular suburban neighborhood that is uprooted (literally) when a mysterious cosmic event seemingly takes them back to a prehistoric era. Parents Denise (Anne Hathaway) and Ewan McGregor (Greg) must protect their family as their now unrecognizable surroundings are populated by dinosaurs.
A new trailer for the film was shown to the CinemaCon crowd. One of the children of McGregor and Hathaway’s characters ominously asks, “Is this the end of the world?” There’s a few split diopter shots in the footage. McGregor is admonished by Hathaway for saying that God will protect the kids, despite him only going to church once a year.
The footage teases what appears to be an exhilarating and original sci-fi film that has J.J. Abrams’ fingerprints all over it. Dinosaurs, Abrams, McGregor, and the director of It Follows all together? Sign us up.
The End of Oak Street is in theaters August 14, 2026.
Evil Dead Burn
Warner Bros.’ presentation host Patton Oswalt introduced Evil Dead Burn as the series’ “most savage and terrifying installment to date.”
An early look at a trailer was shown to the CinemaCon crowd, with Oswalt giving a warning that the footage is “extra disturbing.”
While the footage didn’t quite live up to that disclaimer for much of its runtime, the final 20 seconds feature some pretty gnarly moments that are destined to please franchise fans. There’s chainsaws, fingers hacked off, a character falling onto an open dishwasher full of sharp knives, and even a possessed woman drinking the hot wax dripping from a candle.
Evil Dead Burn is in theaters July 24, 2026.
Mortal Kombat II
The Immortals’ unmistakable Mortal Kombat theme song booming from the speakers of The Dolby Colosseum told the CinemaCon crowd that a special presentation of Mortal Kombat II was in store.
Ahead of next month’s release of the sequel to the 2021 film, Warner Bros. presented a scene from the movie to CinemaCon attendees.
The footage begins as Liu Kang (Ludi Lin) challenges Baraka (CJ Bloomfield) to a fight. When Baraka refuses to duel, Johnny Cage (Karl Urban) steps in and calls the nomadic mutant a pussy. Baraka takes this insult to heart and then agrees to the challenge. However, much to Cage’s surprise, Baraka wishes to fight the actor, rather than Liu Kang.
Cage becomes anxious at the prospect of having to fight Baraka. He quietly consults with Liu Kang, Jax (Mehcad Brooks), and Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee) about how he cannot fight Baraka as he is just an actor.
But before he knows it, Cage finds himself defending punches, kicks, and retractable arm blades from Baraka.
Cage miraculously survives Baraka’s murderous intent and retreats to a small cabin, where two children are sat. The children turn around to reveal that they are the same species as Baraka, a realization that makes Cage cringe.
Cage then hides behind a curtain and asks the children not to reveal his appearance to who we presume to be their father. Of course, kids never listen though. When Baraka bursts into the cabin, the kids point to Cage, leading the Tarkatan to re-engage the actor in battle.
Baraka throws Cage high in the air and out of the cabin, who manages to survive by landing in some straw. Cage then finds his way to his allies and once again expresses that he is not equipped to fight Baraka.
But the trio encourage Cage to lean on his acting skills to defeat Baraka. This seems to flick a switch for Cage, who proceeds to exhibit all manner of crazy acrobatics to push back against Baraka. Eventually, Cage comes out victorious by hitting Baraka straight in the balls.
The footage seems to suggest that Mortal Kombat II will embrace an even more playful tone than the last movie. It’s also clear that Urban is having a ton of fun as Cage.
Mortal Kombat II is in theaters May 8, 2026.
The Cat in the Hat
Mysterious packages branded with the words “Do Not Open” were left on the chairs of every seat in The Dolby Colosseum. Eventually, Patton Oswalt asked everyone to open the packages, revealing that a Thing Wig was inside.
Oswalt asked everyone to don the glaring blue wig as a new trailer for The Cat in the Hat was showcased during the presentation. The trailer suggests that the new film will follow the narrative structure of Dr. Seuss’ beloved book at first before taking a wild turn as the characters journey to a world comprised of their memories.
The Cat in the Hat is voiced by Bill Hader, who is joined by fellow voice actors Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Paula Pell, Tiago Martinez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Bowen Yang, and Tituss Burgess.
The Cat in the Hat is in theaters November 6, 2026.
Clayface
No one expected nor was asking for a Clayface movie, but DC Studios has seemingly managed to give fans what they didn’t know they needed.
DC Studios co-president Peter Safran described the new film from Speak No Evil director James Watkins as “a riveting horror thriller…that illustrates our ethos to focus on character rather than genre.”
Interestingly, the exclusive teaser for the film wholeheartedly embraced genre. The footage depicts Tom Rhys Harries’ Matt Hagen bandaged and clearly in pain while laying in a hospital bed. His eyes are bright red and the glimpses of his face beneath the bandages reveal significant red scarring.
The footage then cut to various horrifying images of Hagen’s face slipping and turning into clay. It concluded with an unsettling look at the character laying in a bathtub. He rubs his hand across his face and suddenly his face has disappeared, as if he was able to manipulate the structure of his face like an artist manipulates clay.
Clayface co-stars Naomi Ackie and Max Minghella. The body horror film is produced by Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn, and Peter Safran. It is co-written by Mike Flanagan.
Clayface is in theaters October 23, 2026.
Supergirl
Next up for DC Studios was an entirely different film hitting theaters this summer.
Milly Alcock, Jason Momoa, and director Craig Gillespie appeared at The Dolby Colosseum to discuss their upcoming superhero film Supergirl. Fitting given that he is playing the motorcycle-riding alien Lobo, Momoa came on stage via a motorcycle.
Alcock discussed her experience working on Supergirl. “I think I’ve learned so much from playing this character,” the House of the Dragon actress reflected. Gillespie went on to describe Kara as a “complex and flawed” female character that must face her traumatic past.
Momoa, meanwhile, described taking on the role of Lobo as “a dream come true.” He elaborated, “These were the comics I read as a kid.”
Beyond taking on the role he has dreamed about since childhood, Momoa said that he was drawn to the movie’s emotional resonance.
Momoa revealed during the presentation that he shot 15-18 days for the film.
Safran asked Momoa who thinks would win in a fight: Aquaman or Lobo. Momoa replied, “They would take one look at each other and have a hundred beers.” He then said he’d love to see the two come together and convince the heads of DC Studios to make an Aquaman and Lobo team-up movie. “I want to be moved and go to the cinema and be with other people who are moved,” says Jason Momoa about Supergirl. “This is as good as it gets.”
Director Craig Gillespie was particularly eager to talk about Alcock’s Kara Zor-El speaking five different languages in the movie and training an hour each day to play the demanding role. The character required the actress to do entire pages of dialogue in languages designed for the film. Gillespie highlighted an “incredibly emotional scene” in which Kara speaks Kryptonian with her father as his favorite part of filming.
The plot of Supergirl centers around Krypto, the adorable superdog that appeared in last year’s Superman. Alcock discussed how Krypto was played by an actual dog for one day on set, but the Romanian street dog they cast would not obey commands. In turn, they chose to create the dog digitally.

The scene begins as Kara waits at a bus station-type place on a far away planet. She is picked up by a space transport filled with all manner of strange creatures that would not be out of place in the Mos Eisley Cantina.
Ruthye Marye Knoll, a young girl played by Eve Ridley, follows Kara onto the space transport but is quickly pinned down by a strange alien. Kara speaks the alien’s odd language and manages to get Ruthye out of trouble.
Ruthye proceeds to sit next to Kara on the space transport, although trouble doesn’t stop there.
Suddenly, a group of tech pirates appear on the transport and start to pickpocket everyone. As Kara is not near what she calls a “yellow sun,” she does not have superpowers that would allow her to quickly eliminate the raiders.
Kara puts up a fight regardless, although she is defeated and locked in hold on the transport. After trying to get the transport driver and his little alien companion to move the vessel closer to the sun, Kara’s attempts to put on a space suit are interrupted when the pirates release her into space.
Hope seems to be lost for Kara as she drifts off into space. However, she drifts in the direction of the sun and soon garners powers that render her more than capable of swiftly eliminating the enemies by removing the engines of their ship.
A new trailer was presented after the scene that was far better than the first publicly released trailer we got a few weeks ago. Although the film still looks, feels, and sounds too much like Guardians of the Galaxy, there’s a stronger emotional throughline in the trailer, especially as we see how Kara’s cynicism contrasts her cousin Clark’s optimism.
Supergirl is in theaters June 26, 2026.
Practical Magic 2
Holding hands and emerging through a cloud of smoke, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reunited to discuss the highly anticipated sequel to Practical Magic at CinemaCon 2026. Bullock joked, “That is exactly what happens every time I take the kids to school.”
Bullock and Kidman shared great banter on stage, as evidenced by the former urging the latter to tell the CinemaCon crowd, “We come to this place for magic.” The attendees enthusiastically cheered at Kidman uttering her opt-memed line from the AMC Theatres commercials.
Regarding making Practical Magic 2, Bullock said, “Coming back to shoot the sequel didn’t feel like shooting a sequel. It felt like coming back home.” Kidman agreed with this point, saying that “being back together just clicked.”
The two revealed that the interior and exterior of the house from the original film was entirely rebuilt for the sequel. The film will pick up years after the original and catch up with Bullock’s children (played by Joey King and Maisie Williams).
A teaser trailer for Practical Magic 2 was presented exclusively to the CinemaCon crowd. We catch glimpses of the three generations of witches living in the famed home. Lee Pace features prominently in the trailer. Bullock says to him at one point, “Everyone we love dies.” Kidman replies, “A really horrible death. It’s not great for the Tinder bio.”
Practical Magic 2 is in theaters September 18, 2026.
The Great Beyond
J.J. Abrams also attended Warner Bros.’ CinemaCon presentation to discuss his first directorial effort since 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
“I’ve been very lucky to work on franchises and movies bigger than all of us, but I felt like I had to get back to telling original stories,” the filmmaker behind installments of the Star Wars, Mission: Impossible, and Star Trek franchises remarked.
Abrams explained that it took a while to work out the screenplay for The Great Beyond, namely because he had to figure out the “world-building” that the story required.
Abrams elaborated that he wanted to make a “wholly original” genre-blending movie that is “thrilling and moving.” At its heart, The Great Beyond is about reconnecting with the sense of wonder we have as kids and believing in yourself, explained Abrams.
In discussing the impressive cast he assembled for the film, Abrams spoke about how he wanted a leading man who looked like he peaked in high school. Not the most glowing endorsement for your lead actor, but we’re sure Glen Powell wouldn’t mind. The two previously collaborated together on the 2024 documentary The Blue Angels, a project that provided Abrams with a front-row seat to Powell’s childlike silliness.
Samuel L. Jackson also appears in the film, although Abrams assured the crowd that they’ve never seen Jackson play a part like this.
Rounding out the cast are two of the industry’s most in-demand actresses – Jenna Ortega and Emma Mackey.
A trailer for The Great Beyond was presented exclusively to the CinemaCon crowd. The footage begins with old technology flickering on in what appears to be a basement. Text on an old computer presents code before displaying a quote from H.G. Wells, “There is, though I do not know how there is or how it may be, another world out of sight and sound.”
The footage then depicts Glen Powell’s character as he meets Jenna Ortega (with dyed blonde hair) in a store that she works at. We also catch a glimpse of Samuel L. Jackson with a pretty nifty gray wig.
As Powell turns on what appears to be an old radio, Ortega narrates, “We are looking for something pure, something we can’t find here.”
Emma Mackey can be seen holding a glowing red rock in the trailer, which concludes as Powell sprints down a hallway.
Although we’re big fans of Abrams, this trailer left us a tad disappointed. This may be attributed to the fact that the footage keeps the plot firmly under wraps, although we wish there was a little bit more to feast on here.
The Great Beyond is in theaters November 13, 2026.
Dune: Part Three
Rounding out Warner Bros.’ presentation was a rousing special look at Dune: Part Three.
The studio brought out dozens of costumed actors as Fremen, two of whom were attached to ceiling wires and made to slowly float in the air like the characters at the beginning of Dune: Part Two.
Director Dennis Villeneuve was present at CinemaCon to discuss the film, alongside stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa.
In describing the film, Villeneuve made it known that he did not want to make a film that repeated the beats of its two predecessors. “I didn’t want to walk into my own footsteps,” the filmmaker remarked. “[The first movie] was more meditative, more contemplative. Part Two was a war movie. This one is a thriller, more action packed, faster paced, more intense, and more emotional.”
Villeneuve later said that he made Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two for himself, but that Dune: Part Three is for the fans. After initially wishing to tackle the project later down the line, Villeneuve felt compelled to complete this story due to fan demand for it.
Villeneuve reminisced about completing a decade-long journey to faithfully bring Dune to the big screen. “It was quite emotional for me to bring them back one last time in front of the camera and say farewell to Paul and Chani in the desert,” he said. “We became like a small family. This was 10 years of our life.”
Chalamet took the time to highlight Villeneuve as one of the industry’s top filmmakers. In speaking to a room full of exhibitors and people heavily invested in the theatrical moviegoing experience, the Academy Award nominated actor urged everyone to create a shield around Villeneuve so that he can always make movies.
Chalamet questionably compared Villeneuve to his character Paul Atreides at one point, which seems a tad off given Atreides being responsible for murdering billions. But let’s skip past that.
Dune: Part Three takes place 17 years after Part Two. Zendaya confirmed that “the years aren’t kind to anyone in Dune.” This is particularly true of Paul, who Chalamet described as having “become his worst vision.” He elaborated, “Seventeen years later, he’s struggling to regain the parts of himself that he sees the most and protect the parts he loves the most.”
Villeneuve was quick to label Part Three as “more of a redemption story, but still the heartbeat of the film is the love story between [Zendaya’s] Chani and Paul.
Jason Momoa, meanwhile, spoke about returning to the Dune franchise after missing out on Part Two. This time around, Momoa plays Hayt, a Tleilaxu ghola (or resurrected flesh) of Duncan Idaho, his character from Part One.
Villeneuve then presented the first seven minutes of Dune: Part Three to the CinemaCon crowd.
The movie begins with a thumping sound that accompanies the Warner Bros.’ logo and the opening credits. We are then plummeted into space as ships that look like black rectangles descend through a thunder storm and toward a planet. A lightning storm rages on that strikes a number of the ships down.
Inside the ships are numerous soldiers, including Javier Bardem’s Stilgar and Isaach de Bankolé’s Farok. Stilgar appears committed to the mission, although his facial expressions suggest a man that may harbor some regret over his dedication to Paul Atreides.
The soldiers discuss a “miracle” that water falls from the sky, hopefully prophesying their victory in the forthcoming battle. They begin to chant the war cry that can be heard from the first publicly released trailer.
The remaining ships then land on a gray, rainy planet. As the ramps open, the soldiers are surprised and delighted to see water descend from the sky above. Led by Stilgar, various units of soldiers proceed forward across a barren field before they suddenly halt. Stilgar immediately tells everyone to get down, after which a booming weapon starts shooting at them. Some of the soldiers are destroyed immediately, others are launched in the air. The weapon is massive and loud in a way that shakes your ribcage.
The soldiers desperately seek cover as Stilgar manages to get his hands on a massive weapon to fight back against the enemy’s. He says that they will need to shoot three blasts at the enemy’s weapon in order to disable its shield. Stilgar proceeds to do this, only to see his blasts bounce off the shield and back toward his team. Farok is injured, one soldier deserts his comrades, and the scene comes to an end.
The footage then transitions to a new trailer for Dune: Part Three. Jason Momoa’s Hayt tells Paul Atreides, “I think you’re way beyond redemption.” A bloodied Anya-Taylor Joy dressed in a white shawl can be seen looking at cards. We catch a glimpse of Robert Pattinson’s Tleilaxu Face Dancer character Scytale. Chani and Paul confront one another, and Chani points a gun at her. The trailer concludes with a massive sand worm erupting from beneath the sand.
It’s only day two of CinemaCon, but Dune: Part Three by far and away is the best film we’ve seen showcased yet. Villeneuve directs an action set-piece with jaw-dropping scale and scope. The thunderous sound design and mammoth visuals create such an epic atmosphere. During the panel, Chalamet compared the Dune trilogy to The Lord of the Rings. When all is said and done, Villeneuve may just have crafted a sci-fi trilogy that ranks alongside Peter Jackson’s films as one of the best trilogies of all time.
Dune: Part Three is in theaters December 18, 2026.
2027 and Beyond
A Minecraft Sequel
The mammoth success of A Minecraft Movie, capped off by the viral Chicken Jockey trend, meant Warner Bros. briskly moved ahead with greenlighting a sequel.
During their CinemaCon presentation, Jack Black appeared in a pre-recorded message to confirm that a sequel is indeed in development. In the video, Black refers to the film as A Minecraft Movie 2, but a final image presenting titles for all of WB’s 2027 releases titled the movie A Minecraft Sequel.
Jared Hess is returning to direct and co-write the film. Kirsten Dunst recently joined the cast as Alex, one of the nine default skins players can use in the Minecraft game.
A Minecraft Sequel is in theaters on July 23, 2027.
Remain
M. Night Shyamalan appeared in a brief video to discuss his upcoming film Remain. The movie is a supernatural romantic thriller that Shyamalan devised with renowned author Nicholas Sparks.
Shyamalan expressed his excitement at returning to make a ghost movie. He mentioned that test-screenings for the film have generated a similar response to The Sixth Sense, quite the testament given the iconic status of arguably Shyamalan’s most acclaimed film.
The film follows New York architect Tate Donovan (Jake Gyllenhaal) as he heads to Cape Cod to design a summer home for his best friend, seeking a fresh start after being treated for acute depression. Still mourning his sister’s death, he meets Wren (Phoebe Dynevor), a young woman who disrupts his carefully ordered world.
Remain is in theaters February 5, 2027.
Man of Tomorrow
James Gunn, David Corenswet, and Nicholas Hoult filmed a message exclusively for the CinemaCon crowd to discuss their upcoming DC Studios film Man of Tomorrow.
Hoult described the film as continuing “the Superman saga with a new villain and an unlikely alliance.”
DC Studios co-president Peter Safran confirmed that Man of Tomorrow will begin filming tomorrow (April 15).
Man of Tomorrow is in theaters July 9, 2027.
The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum
A brief video of Gollum speaking to himself in a cave about his desire to keep his story a secret conveyed to the CinemaCon crowd that The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum was up next at CinemaCon.
“It’s our story,” Gollum says. “We must keep it a secret. This is a tale that must never be told.”
The first logo for The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum was revealed at CinemaCon. Concurrent with the studio presentation, the WB social media channels published a short video revealing the full cast of the film.
Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen, and Elijah Wood will all reprise their roles as Gollum, Gandalf, and Frodo. Lee Pace is also back as Thranduil.
Fresh faces to the franchise include Jamie Dornan as Aragorn, taking over the role made famous by Viggo Mortensen, in addition to Kate Winslet as Marigol and Leo Woodall as Halvard.
The film will unfold during the year before the events of The Fellowship of the Ring and follow the search for Gollum.
The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum is in theaters December 17, 2027.
Evil Death Wrath
Evil Dead Burn may hit theaters this summer, but Warner Bros. already has another Evil Dead movie in development.
In a pre-recorded message, Sam Raimi spoke about Evil Dead Wrath and described the upcoming film as 2027’s most terrifying movie.
Evil Dead Wrath is in theaters April 7, 2028.
Ocean’s Prequel
Margot Robbie officially announced that she is starring in a prequel to Ocean’s Eleven. Bradley Cooper will co-star, direct, write, and produce the film.
The plot will follow the parents of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean as they undertake a heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.
Ocean’s Prequel does not currently have an official release date.
Panic Carefully
Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail filmed a message for the CinemaCon crowd to talk about his upcoming thriller film Panic Carefully.
Esmail will reunite with Homecoming star Julie Roberts in the film, which also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Eddie Redmayne, Brian Tyree Henry, Joe Alwyn, and Aidan Gillen.
Esmail announced that Panic Carefully will be the first IMAX digital release to be presented in 1:4:3 aspect ratio.

The film is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation.

Shiver
Keanu Reeves appeared on a boat in a pre-recorded video to discuss his upcoming action movie Shiver.
From Deadpool director Tim Miller, Shiver will presumably involve sharks as Reeves joked about fending off the vicious beasts in the movie.
Shiver is in theaters August 13, 2027.
Margie Claus
Melissa McCarthy featured in a video to discuss her upcoming animated musical comedy film Margie Claus.
The film follows McCarthy as Santa’s wife, who goes searching for her husband after he goes missing.

The Flood
Warner Bros. announced that they will distribute a new original sci-fi thriller movie from Weapons director Zach Cregger.
Cregger will reunite with Weapons producers Roy Lee and Miri Yoon. Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment is also producing the film.
While Cregger’s previous films have firmly occupied the horror genre, The Flood sees the director transition to the world of science fiction.
The Flood is in theaters August 11, 2028.
Gladys
Speaking of Cregger, Warner Bros. also confirmed that Cregger will write and produce a prequel film to Weapons focused on Amy Madigan’s Gladys.
Gladys is in theaters September 8, 2028.
Final Destination 7
The smash box office success of Final Destination: Bloodlines meant another installment of the long-running horror franchise was inevitable.
Final Destination 7 is in theaters May 12, 2028.
Godzilla x Kong: Supernova
Grand Sputore (I Am Mother) will direct a sequel to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire hitting theaters next year.
The film stars Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Stevens, Jack O’Connell, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Matthew Modine, Delroy Lindo, and Sam Neill, with Stevens reprising his role from the previous film.
Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is in theaters March 26, 2027.
F.A.S.T.
Taylor Sheridan will write and Ben Richardson will direct an upcoming action thriller film called F.A.S.T.
The film follows a former special forces commando down on his luck after he returns stateside, who is recruited by the DEA to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers.
The film stars Brandon Sklenar, Juliana Canfield, LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, Sam Claflin, and Trevante Rhodes.
F.A.S.T. is in theaters on April 23, 2027.
Animal Friends
Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, and Dan Levy star in an upcoming live-action animated adventure movie.
Animal Friends follows two fugitive animals, Pony (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) and Bear (voiced by Jason Momoa), as they hit the road on a cross-country adventure across America to return to the ranch that was once their home. While they heal their fractured friendship, the two are pursued by an equally ‘odd-couple’ DEA agent (Aubrey Plaza) and Fish & Wildlife ranger (Dan Levy) with something to prove.
Animal Friends is in theaters January 22, 2027.
The Conjuring: First Communion
Capitalizing off the immense success of The Conjuring: Last Rites, Warner Bros. have commissioned a sequel exploring the early years of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The Conjuring: First Communion is in theaters September 10, 2027.
The Revenge of La Llorona
Warner Bros. has set the release date for the sequel to The Curse of Llorona for April 9, 2027.
Jay Hernandez (Hostel, Quarantine) and Monica Raymund lead the cast, while Raymond Cruz returns as the curandero from the original.
Santiago Menghini, known for Milk and No One Gets Alive, will direct the film.
The Revenge of La Llorona is in theaters April 9, 2027.
Ti Amo!
Academy Award winner Sean Baker’s follow up to Anora will be under a new label at Warner Bros. called Clockwork.
Not much is known about the movie, which is titled Ti Amo!, but Baker’s involvement certainly has us excited.

The Batman: Part II
Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson are returning for another entry in the epic crime saga. Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson join established franchise actors Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis.

Dynamic Duo
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation are collaborating on an animated film that will focus on Batman’s first two sidekicks – Dick Grayson and Jason Todd.

Hello Kitty
A live-action/animation hybrid Hello Kitty movie is coming soon from Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Animation.
The film will mark the beloved character’s major Hollywood debut. It will be directed by Leo Matsuda (Inner Workings) and written by Dana Fox (Wicked).
Hello Kitty is in theaters on July 21, 2028.
The Lunar Chronicles
Warner Bros. Pictures and Locksmith Animation are collaborating on the animated feature adaptation of Marissa Meyer’s The Lunar Chronicles.
The film will retell classic fairy tales like “Cinderella” and “Snow White” as sci-fi stories.
The Lunar Chronicles is in theaters November 3, 2028.
Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
Ariana Grande and Josh Gad will have voice roles in the animated feature adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ famous book.
The movie will be directed by Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton.

Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest
The first ever Game of Thrones movie was featured in Warner Bros.’ “2027 and Beyond” slate.
The movie will follow the original conqueror Aegon I Targaryen from George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels. Originally, the history of Aegon I was told in “Fire and Blood.”
Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest will be written by Andor and House of Cards writer Beau Willimon.
Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest does not currently have an official release date.
Gremlins
A third installment in the Gremlins franchise will roll into theaters Thanksgiving 2027.
Steven Spielberg will return to executive produce and Chris Columbus will direct and produce.
Gremlins is in theaters November 19, 2027.
Untitled Nancy Meyers Film
Nancy Meyers appeared in a video from the set of her upcoming romantic comedy.
The film is in theaters on December 25, 2027.
Joan of Arc
Baz Luhrmann is developing a historical epic about the teenage French saint Joan of Arc for Warner Bros.
The film is based on Thomas Keneally’s 1974 novel “Blood Red, Sister Rose.”
